Stevens Marine
Advanced Marketing Solution’s first client, Stevens Marine, is a mid-sized, high volume boat dealer in Oregon. Challenged by declining salmon runs in the early 90’s Advanced Marketing Solutions created a magazine, Fishing In The N.W., for Stevens Marine intent on positioning Stevens Marine as a regional resource and creating compelling reasons to purchase boats. The magazine was published for 4 years and worked exceptionally well at driving retail traffic and bringing the market closer to the dealership. Today, Stevens Marine has a balanced marketing approach that includes a content-rich website that’s updated continually; a strong year around print campaign; a variety of public relations campaigns ranging from customer service to customer satisfaction and community information and goodwill; a monthly events calendar; newsletters; product development and market outreach. The key to executing such a broad annual plan is close and consistent communication, development of a detailed annual plan and aptitude of the client’s business.

 
 

YMCA Columbia-Willamette
The Portland-area YMCA needed help with their website. Advanced Marketing Solutions was hired to assist in designing the website but also in implementing a new website program called “WBEES”. Here’s where Advanced Marketing Solutions’ technical expertise was of enormous help. WBEES is a wonderfully versatile program, but the YMCA application was uncharted territory. Advanced Marketing Solutions worked closely with WBEES and the YMCA to deliver a striking site that functions exceptionally well. After assisting in developing the site, Advanced Marketing Solutions was hired to produce a customized online registration system. Advanced Marketing Solutions created the new system on a short deadline which has helped to reduce an administrative bottleneck.

 
 

Bear Bay Lodge
A new business in 2002, Bear Bay Lodge is owned by two passionate anglers and businessmen, Ty and Travis. They wanted to offer a special, one-of-a-kind fishing experience and with plenty to do in getting the new resort open they turned to Advanced Marketing Solutions to help jump start their operation. The combination of a modest print advertising schedule and detailed brochure got the ball rolling but it was Ty and Travis’ business savvy, commitment to customer satisfaction and participation in a variety of consumer shows that made the first year bearable. Each successive year has seen the business grow at leaps and bounds with Advanced Marketing providing website support, print ad creation and brochure production. Smokercraft
A mature, well-established boat builder, Smokercraft is headquartered out of New Paris, Indiana but has satellite, regional operations around the country. Advanced Marketing Solutions was hired initially to produce a small brochure for Smokercraft’s Stayton, Oregon plant, then referred to as the producer of “Western” boats. Working closely with the regional sales manager, Advanced Marketing Solutions developed a new name, The American Angler Series, for what was previously known as “Western” boats to expand the marketability of their model mix to a national audience. Advanced Marketing produced new photography, a new and refreshed brochure look, several regional ad series and various public relations pieces to keep the company’s strong brand name squarely in front of the market.

 
 

Alumaweld Boats
Advanced Marketing Solutions has enjoyed a long and productive relationship with Alumaweld Boats, Inc. The largest boat builder in their category, Alumaweld Boats is a recognized top brand in N.W. boating. Advanced Marketing Solutions handles all their marketing efforts including photography, brochure and catalog design, public relations, website design and maintenance, TV ad and trade show video production, all media placement and creative and a variety of miscellaneous responsibilities including technical writing and dealer development. As an industry leader, the challenge is staying number one and looking for new market opportunities and presentations that resonate with the buyers. This is a highly competitive business sector with several low cost providers. Keeping perceived value high enables Alumaweld to hold its price which is essential in growing the company’s dealer base and maintaining the value of current customers boats.
